Rihanna Rocks New York with a Met Gala-Inspired Waxwork Unveiling at Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds New York is set to unveil a new waxwork of Rihanna in its Glow Gala room, alongside wax versions of stars like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. The waxwork is inspired by Rihanna’s ensemble from the 2018 Met Gala, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion And The Catholic Imagination”. The co-chair of the event, Rihanna wore a beaded corset minidress, a matching Margiela robe, a papal bishop’s hat and a crucifix necklace in accordance with the gala’s religious theme.

With numerous LED lights hidden in the outfit, the waxwork is a true representation of the star. The unveiling comes just days before Rihanna takes the stage at the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday, February 12th. Fans will be able to admire and pose with the icon at Madame Tussauds New York. Another Rihanna wax figure, featuring her Super Bowl 2023 outfit, will be added to Madame Tussauds Orlando later this year.

Rihanna’s eighth studio album, “Anti”, was released in 2016, and she has not performed live since her appearance with DJ Khaled at the 2018 Grammy Awards. The artist released two songs last year, “Lift Me Up” and “Born Again”, which feature on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.
