
Merry Clayton, a singer who is widely known for co-starring with The Rolling Stones and who was in charge of the backing chorus for various artists’ works, released a studio album titled “Beautiful Scars” for the first time in 27 years on April 9th. You can listen to it on YouTube and streaming services.
The album is produced by longtime friends veteran producer Lou Adler and gospel singer-songwriter Terry Young. The album also includes granddaughter Kiriya Mary Amy.
The album includes Diane Warren’s new song “Beautiful Scars”, Coldplay’s new song “Love Is a Mighty River”, Sam Cooke “Touch the Hem of His Garment”, and Leon Russell “A Song”. A cover of “for You” is also included.
