The Scottish indie rock band Franz Ferdinand are on European/UK tour currently. However, the band have announced that the drummer Paul Thomson was injured by an “ugly piece of art” after it fell in a hotel lobby in Casablanca, Morocco. Therefore Paul Thomson can’t continue to tour with the band. Mike Evans will perform with the band for the rest of the tour. The indie rock band released self-titled debut album in 2004 and the last album titled “Always Ascending” was released last year.
You can read the band’s full statement about the incident below.
Paul will be unable to continue this tour while it heals.
We are happy to welcome our friend Mike Evans who will stand in for him temporarily.
