Frankie Banali has a stroke during hospitalization for 3 weeks

Frankie Banali

The American heavy metal band Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali last week last week updated Facebook for the first time in a month and revealed that he was hospitalized for three weeks.

Update: I spent the last three weeks in the hospital. Home now. Had two blood transfusions. I also had a stroke while there. I am rehabbing at home. Thank you for your concern and well wishes.

Banali was in the midst of fighting pancreatic cancer and in June he was told that he was taken to the emergency room due to an infectious disease that had to be dealt with during the course of treatment. His wife then explains,

Frankie isn’t on the edge of death. He’s visited the ER many times in the process, he’s got another infectious disease now.

Quiet Riot was supposed to perform at a socially spaced event at Magic Springs Theme and Water Park in Hot Springs in early July, but in mid-June, The appearance was canceled due to “health concerns.”
