The Dutch alternative rock band De Staat have released a new music video for their single called Numbers Up. The video is directed by Joost van Deijzen. Speaking of the new music video, the band say;
‘Numbers Up’ is about our growing obsession with numbers: Views, streams, likes, you name it. Pleasure is now measurable. Quality is quantified. Emotions are simplified. The video is a reference to old fashioned TV band performance videos, which we love. However, instead of a regular audience, we are surrounded by the ‘new and improved’ simplified audience: emojis.
