The Norwegian singer and songwriter Ane Brun has released a new single called Closer. It is taken from the upcoming album titled How Beauty Holds The Hand Of Sorrow. It is out on November 27. Speaking of the new single, she said;
Closer’ occupies territory somewhere between Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, and is “a song about the never-ending topic of how hardship makes you stronger, or brings you closer to something more true to yourself.
Explains Ane;
My experience is that the expression, ”if it doesn’t kill you it makes you stronger” is quite realistic, but I’m certain that there are exceptions to that rule. And if it doesn’t make you stronger, at least it can widen your perspectives.
