The Norwegian singer and songwriter Ane Brun has released a new song called Lose My Way . It is the seventh single from the upcoming new album. She didn’t give any information about the details of the forthcoming album.
Ane Brun commented about it on social media like that:
‘Lose My Way’ is the 7th song from my upcoming album. It’s a song written and performed by myself and Dustin O’Halloran, an American Oscar-nominated, Emmy Award-winning composer (also member of A Winged Victory For The Sullen).
Dustin and I decided to try to co-write in Dustin’s studio on a very warm Berlin night back in 2016. We had just become friends, and I had been a longtime fan of Dustin’s music.
When we met, it was only a few weeks since my father had passed away, so I was in a very special, vulnerable state of mind. We had a glass of wine and improvised our way to this song, which was finished the same night, with words coming out of me like a message to my father. The next day we recorded the version that’s on the album.
We have both loved this song from the day we created it, and are so grateful to finally release it.Gyða Valtýsdóttir (member of Icelandic band Múm) later added cello to the mix, and Klas-Henrik Hörngren (Klabbes Bank) laid down some understated synth sounds.
In 2018, Dustin and I also co-wrote and released the song ‘Horizons’, the closing theme for the 2018 movie Puzzle, which I performed at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo 2019.
The singer has so far shared Don’t run and hide, Trust, Feeling like I wanna cry, Song for Thrill and Tom, Honey, Take Hold of Me and Lose My Way from upcoming album.
