The American singer-songwriter Alice Cooper has released her 21st solo studio album titled Detroit Stories on all digital platforms today. Detroit Stories, an album describing Detroit’s contribution to the popularity of “angry hard rock”. It consists of 15 tracks.
According to Cooper, while hippie times were experienced throughout America and softer energy music was performed, Detroit was going through a period of the opposite, that is, more angular, raw and hard music was performed. This was the factor that influenced the musician so much in the production phase of the album.
Produced by Bob Ezrin, the album was recorded by meeting with Cooper’s old friends. Among them are MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer, Detroit Wheels drummer Johnny “Bee” Badanjek, jazz and R&B bassist Paul Randolph and Motor City Horns.
